It closes the end of the gas spring and offers a 6 mm stud for a ball cup to clip onto. This is the rigid option: the articulation comes from the cup, not the end fitting.
Match the cup by the 6 mm stud diameter. The M10 thread is the rod thread and belongs to the 14/28 series.
