Manual locks

McNaughtans manual locks bring together key, handle and combination closures for doors, tailgates and drawers on trucks, trailers, semi-trailers and special vehicle bodies. The collection includes whale tail locks, stainless steel folding T-handles, Vector T1 and T3 handles, door and combination locks, and compression latches with different key codes, all operated by hand with no electrical connection.

How to choose a manual lock

Start with the type of door: a handle drives a linkage and suits large doors, while a compression latch pulls the door against its seal and is the usual choice for drawers and access panels. Then check the door thickness, the mounting cut-out and the cam travel, and pick the key code you already use on the rest of the vehicle so you do not end up with a different key for every door.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order several locks keyed alike?

Yes. Items with a key code state it in the name (key 510, 805, 21...), so ordering the same code for every door means they all open with a single key.

What if I later want to open them remotely?

Locks with electric operation or central locking are in Electronic locks. The GFCL2200 whale tail compression lock with key CH10 can also take a 12/24 V electric actuator.
