Right-angle bracket with a 10 mm ball and 2.6 mm thickness.

It is the fixed point of the assembly: it bolts to the chassis, frame or cabinet and receives the end of the gas spring, which pivots on it as the lid opens.

The 10 mm ball is what the cup clips onto: pick a ball cup of the same diameter or it will not fit. The ball sits on the outer face of the angle, so the spring works from that side; check which side has clearance. The 2.6 mm thickness sets how rigid the plate is.
