Flat bracket with a 11 mm ball and 4 mm thickness.
It is the fixed point of the assembly: it bolts to the chassis, frame or cabinet and receives the end of the gas spring, which pivots on it as the lid opens.
The 11 mm ball is what the cup clips onto: pick a ball cup of the same diameter or it will not fit. The 4 mm thickness sets how rigid the plate is.
