It is the counterpart to the ball cup: it mounts on the bracket and provides the ball that the gas spring end fitting clips onto, letting the assembly pivot.

Choose the cup with the same 10 mm ball diameter: that is the figure that pairs the two parts. It is riveted to the bracket rather than threaded, so the fixing is permanent and cannot vibrate loose.
