Collection: Trailer Hardware

McNaughtans trailer hardware brings together the components fitted to trucks, trailers, semi-trailers and industrial vehicle bodies: hinges, door holders and fasteners, folding ladders and steps, rubber buffers, mudguard brackets, hooks, lashing rings and E-Track rail. The range combines zinc-plated and stainless steel finishes to cover both a one-off repair and a full fit-out.

How to choose trailer hardware

Always start from the part already fitted: measure its dimensions, the hole pattern and the clearance at the mounting point before comparing references. Bear in mind the load the fitting has to take, how often it is used and the working environment, because the finish depends on it. For pressure washing, refrigerated transport or continuous outdoor exposure, stainless steel resists corrosion better.

  • Measure the original part and its fixing pattern.
  • Check the travel and the mounting clearance.
  • Choose between a zinc-plated and a stainless steel finish.
  • Confirm whether you need the complete set or just a replacement part.

Frequently asked questions

Which finish do I need for my trailer?

Zinc plating covers most general installations. Stainless steel is preferable where there is damp, salt or regular pressure washing.

How do I identify the reference I have fitted?

Compare dimensions, holes and geometry with the part fitted. If you cannot identify it, send us photographs and dimensions and we will tell you the equivalent.
